I was watching Border Security International last night and I'm buggered if I know how they can do this. One of the Canadian/States Borders is on a main route. Last night - and this has happened before - a couple took a wrong turn back down the road a bit and ended up at the Border crossing into Canada. Of course there is nowhere to turn around so they get hauled in and their vehicle searched. They both had Medical Marijuana with them, all legal in their State. They get thrown in a cell and then promptly get charged with trying to enter Canada with illegal drugs! Copped a big fine and their dope taken off them. Now what gets me is - they weren't trying to cross the bloody Border, they took a wrong turn. So how can they be charged? I have seen this happen before on there. I'm beginning to think they have purposely put inadequate signage back down the road to catch people. Not somewhere I would care to visit for sure.

It seems that once you miss that turn off, you're stuffed. There is nowhere else to turn off.

It seems that once you miss that turn off, you're stuffed. There is nowhere else to turn off. It appears that way. So they got straight to border toll gates? To me all they wanted to do was turn & head back without all that border control heavies involved kinda felt sorry for them. Its a simple thing to do when out Sunday driving we've all done it I'm sure.

Yeah - obviously got into the traffic flow with no way out. I've seen a few on the program caught out the same way. It stinks.

power tripping money grubbing compliance nazis
its the same here if you are northbound on auckland motorway and dont exit at herne bay then you are committed to going over the bridge
there are a couple of toll roads here one is off a roundabout if you get in the wrong lane or make the wrong turn then you are committed to taking that road there is nowhere to turn
they just built an expressway to te puke opened last month if you get on it there is no way of turning or getting off it until you reach te puke 20kms down the road so its a 40km mistake and $3.00 toll for the privilege
canadian border control have put me off ever going to canada again who needs that shit when you go for a visit?

Yeah they are real tough - or is it extra drama turned on for the cameras? But this shit with people being stuck at the crossing when they had no intention of going there is BS.
