im concerned
that the ufo is going to be
extinct

the other night
I was down in the back paddock
when I saw this ufo
darting around the sky
I gazed at it for some time
while it would hover
then fly extremely quickly
and back

then I thought
meh
its just a drone
or one of those quadcopter things

previously we only had
the ubiquitous weather balloon
and clandestine tests performed by
nefarious government agencies

that was the good old days
today even some hillbilly
slack jawed south islander
standing in his cornfield
ruminating on a piece of grass
can
with some degree of confidence
say
"its just a drone"

gone is the romance
and the wonder
that it might be life
from other galaxies
stopping by to use
the facilities
and decimating the human race
for toilet paper

no more
can we run for out tinfoil hats
and claim anal probes after
midnight abductions
by hovering aliens
apparently all
homosexual
or at least
sphincter fixated
it seems to be the first
aperture they probe
and the most memorable
post abduction
titbit

cannot be seen
on the humans limited ocular spectrum
ie invisible to us and our
technology?

what if they hate water
so they left that planet
for greener pastures?
in that situation
water is not proof of life
it is the opposite
it is the cause of absence of life
