I was wrong and so I have to apologise

for character assassinations
over the past few months/years
of sonny bill Wiyyums
or as i heard his mum
call him
sunny pill

i have trashed him
on many levels

first: being a gong collecting codechanger

for switching from league
to rugby
for the world cup years
and occupying a place that a true blue 
rugby player
could have taken

spose if i boiled it down
his boxing could be considered code changing
as well
i have adjusted my perspective
and now take the position
that it is better compared to
a Rhodes Scholar
of old
good at everything
not just a rugby player
but an athlete

2: ShowPony without substance

no
hes got the goods
but more than that
he shows humility
and generosity
first giving tickets to games
to the less fortunate
and taking the time to spend time
with fringe fans
after the game

he saw that youngster
get nailed by an overzealous security guard
because he forgot himself
and ran on to the pitch
after the final whistle

this used to be standard behaviour
with fans carrying team members off the field
and autographs being signed for up to 
half an hour after the game
fan interaction

sonny pill
witnessed this travesty
and that the little guy was quite upset by it
so he went over
and gave him 
his world cup medal
fuck
his gong
just gave it to him

so i guess hes not just a 
greedy guts gong hunter
in it for the kudos and the coin
hes got more 
depth than that
