The bill - which has already caused consternation with regards to farming, mini golf and worm farms - could see principals fined or even jailed should someone hurt themselves on a playground or at school camp.

A last minute change to new health and safety laws expands the use of controversial "secret courts." The Law Society has drawn attention to a late addition to the contentious reforms. It would allow hearings behind closed doors to protect national security.
