No doubt people would cope, no getting all  upset cos you have no heating, or raining so the clothes are still wet. They got on and coped with most situations.

Now with our life, we hang off a cell phone or a landline, hop onto the computer, cooking a lot of crap full of sugar & salt, and cos there is a gadget for most things, no exercise, no wonder there is so much heart disease plus diabeties etc. Not to mention the vehicles we take for granted. Hop in to go down to the dairy for smokes just 200 metres from home.
