I accept that the world is way too protective of children now. They don't get to have the same learning experiences that we had growing up in case they hurt themselves etc, BUT surely there IS a line of acceptable/expected care too. At 7 years old, this boy wasn't reported missing until 10.15 at night. WTF??? www.stuff.co.nz/national/70707232/missing-7yearold-hamilton-boy-found.htmlIf my 15 year old (going on 10) is an hour late, I'm texting to see where he is.

Yeah - I cannot believe in this day and age that the parents/family didn't contact Police until that late in the night. I do wonder though if they had been out searching and checking in the meantime. Or am I being hopeful.
Also what was with the people he stayed with? Did they not think to contact the family. Unbelievable really.

I lost my #2 son today Picked up two at usual place, in the car Waited.... Half three and I'm worried, he'd been seen by #1 running out the school gate. Go home, not there. It's 3.45 and I'm ready to freak out. Back to school and see him in a side street. He thought I had work, had run there, seen no car and run back to school.
