Apparently my great grandfather fled France after
being caught by his lovers partner. He was threatened
with death. No standing behind a curtain with a
gun for my great grandfather. He ran off lol
A handsome man too. He came to NZ and hooked
up with a Maori girl, my great grandmother.
His last name was Beaumont.
Apart from that we have no idea if the story
of his arrival to NZ was true or not.
He could have been a spy for all we know.
I don't think spys hook up with Maori girls though lol
