I agree it is not the greatest Aviation Mystery which is why I left it out of the title. Never heard of the guy Weas but I shall look him up and enlighten myself.

a mystery none the less tho hard to fathom really we can see old alien faeces on mars or see a terrorist from a drone at 10,000 feet but cant find a fucking 767 on earth?

Oh yes, it is no doubt a mystery, just not the greatest.
That article says the pilot flew down a border, hopping from one country to the other to avoid radar. Also if he had done a controlled landing into the sea, then the plane wouldn't be so broken up.

A new drift study (under review) that points to the current area. From the person (Book of Research) that provided the link. "according this report the obtained results indicate the likelihood of the crash site to be located between 25.5°S and 30.5°S latitudes, with the segment from 28°S to 30°S being the most promising."
