A new study shows methamphetamine is far easier to get than cannabis. Initial findings from New Zealand's first online Drug Trends Survey show a third of meth users were able to buy the drug in 20 minutes or less, compared to just 14 percent of cannabis users.

unsurprising fucking insidious shit pot has nowhere near the addictive properties of meth
to get pot you need someone with the stones and the know how to provide a consistent product
it takes 7 to 10 weeks to produce smokable pot along with considerable electricity costs insect and disease control etc this represents a long exposure time to the law
all you need for meth is a weekend and a cooker
the profits in pot are miniscule by comparison
the only people growing pot these days are the part timers and the garage growers and the 'Resistance' who provide for the medical community all the thugs and professional drug distributors have largely left the pot business behind in favour of meth
the urgency to supply has left the pot industry resulting in droughts and shortages nationwide

what surprises me most is peoples drive to get drugged up meth is a totally different high than cannabis
cannabis makes you mildly euphoric and 'stoned' quiet and pleasant meth makes you party hard drink hard and be aggressive one is not a substitute for the other
i dont understand why meth has increased and pot decreased unless its not a matter of choice but mentality 'im going to get fucked up and i dont care what it takes, I'll use whatevers available'? as opposed to 'i want some pot to help me sleep'
has meth gotten cheaper? it used to be about a grand for a point it must have come down significantly to be so accessable

It hasn't come down as far as I know. Daves best friend Pete lives next to a supplier. They've been selling night and day for nearly two years driving Pete crazy but he doesn't want to move as he's freehold. The cops haven't busted once. Everyone knows who's selling meth but no bloody busts. Bust and take assets and keep doing it I reckon. The police are shirking their responsibility to the community.

So they havnt busted because? A: They are watching them in an undercover nation wide program which has been going on for a few years trying to get the low level dealers to lead them to the big boys? or B: they are corrupt and are getting paid back handers left right and center or C:The Government (national) in all fairness did not make it a priority because the cash injection stimulating an otherwise doomed to fail economy was not economically sustainable to police
'they' being the poolice that is sorry

A. possibly B. Maybe one or two? C. It would be cheaper to shut it down. The cost on the justice and health system would be more than policing it?
