I never really was interested in politics until after Jim had left. But anyone who wanted to set up a national bank for its country would have had nz best interest at heart. Bless him.

Fast forward and we now know, economies run on banking systems. Shame we (especially me lol) didn't realise what he was trying to do for us. What a legacy.

Do you know what he passed away of Nat? No. I had a session( as in time) with him in the 80's when I was working in the public service sector

A national bank though. In those times it would have been forward thinking. Obviously to get the bank approved a few forward thinkers there were. Shame the ongoing govts didn't continue with the trend.
