Sad approx 400 pilot whales have beached themselves near Farwell spit.

A theory going is the electromagnetic sonar pulses from the oil shipping scanners and deep sonar earthquake booms are messing with their ability to navigate. Another stranding in Golden Bay of 200 but refloated. Sad alright.
