I loved that programme. Her friend in it Valerie went on to have her own show, think the blonde one Phyllis??? did too.
It was quite unusual to show such independent women in TV shows then. I do remember her male boss being one real grumpy old thing, and the other bald guy an ass licking twit

True. Now I'm older, I realise Mary and Rhoda were two independent ladies of which in that era most woman were raising families. Trail blazers. I really dug Rhoda even though it was only TV lol
