Shit thats a big change Nat. Be careful when you run the brush through it - you'll get a hell of a fright when it suddenly comes to the end and flies out of your hand.

Gosh that is a huge change! Yep it feels weird washing and brushing it after a good chop. Sometimes it needs to happen though. Mines down almost to my waist but is straggly on the ends. Need a good chop too.

Had a very productive morning.... mum had no hot water, so went around and sure enough... the element has blown again... bloody high lime content in the water here...eats em. So off into town... cousin now works at wholesalers so I managed to purloin one of the grouse stainless steal elements they get in specifically for the corrections department this one should last a lot longer... also tweeked the temp down... I know its naughty, they have minimum temps for a reason.... but they also have clorinated drinking water for that same reason, so no biggy..... now the element should last 12 years or so Got home, full of fluffies, so decided to mow the lawns.... all done, the few dishes washed and put away.... now I am going to get trashed.

Well done you! I had to turn the temp down on the HWC here when I moved in too. Some clown had it way up. I am aching from head to foot so doing nothing that requires any energy.

its is required by law to be set at over 65 degrees.... which means that you have to have another device that allows cold water to mix with the hot as it leaves the cylinder, so that the temp at the tap doesnt exceed 55 degrees.... which is another legal requirement.

Well mine is set at 55 and it is staying like that. I don't need a horrendous water bill. What can you put in the line to bring down anyway?

Its a temperature sensitive valve with two inlets and one outlet, that allows cold water to mix with the hot, until the temperature is lowered to the desired setting.

Like all laws, they are to protect everybody... but if you are on town supply water, your water will be chlorinated, so there is very little risk from the waterborne diseases... but if you collect your own water from rain or a bore, then for safety, the temperature should be set at over 65 degrees.
