Actor Michu Meszaros who played the charismatic alien in 80's sitcom "Alf", has died. He was 76.
Meszaros from Hungary was just 2 feet 9 inches in height making him the perfect 'body double' for the affable Alf. Alf was often filmed from the waist-up with puppeteers controlling his movements. When shots of Alf were done showing his full body, it was Meszaros who, wearing a full-body costume carried out the movements.
TMZ reports that Meszaros was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home a week ago by his manager, Dennis Vargas. The actor spent several of the following days in a coma.
