Had some kids here over the weekend, they wanted to do some craft stuff that involved ingredients from the pantry. Their method compared to a few years back is to watch on you-tube on how to go about making what ever it was where as a few years back instructions would have been in book form how the times have changed.

Yep...when I need to repair something, first goto resource is youtube.... so much easier having someone do it in front of your eyes.... especially when you can pause and even go back and re-watch something repeatedly until you have it worked out.

I do it all the time when I have to fix an appliance for someone..... it far easier than attending all the manufacturers training sessions every year.

I have fixed so much stuff via youtube. Learnt how to adjusts nobs, thread bobbins on my second hand sewing machine.
Changed a dvd player zone from zone 1 to zone 4.
Troubleshot the washing machine. Fireplace flue, car and leaking taps.
Cleaned drains with salt and baking soda. Learnt how to apply foundation and give my eyes the smokey eye look. Found out the best applications for home remedies and thats just me. Dave has his own list. The most help we got from youtube was when he stuck the double french doors in. If it weren't for youtube we would have had to get a real Carpenter in lol.
I love youtube.
